GeoSim Technologies has secured an order for a custom Air Tractor AT-802/Fire Boss synthetic training device for an operator in Argentina, further expanding GeoSim’s presence in the international aerial firefighting market.

The single-seat simulator will replicate the operator’s aircraft configuration and feature multiple flight models for the AT-802, AT-802F and amphibious Fire Boss, together with a 260° 4-metre DOME visual system, control loading, simulated FRDS Gen III fire-retardant system and GeoSim’s Vulcan aerial firefighting software.

The simulator will allow pilots to train for Fire Boss amphibious operations, aerial firefighting missions, instrument procedures, aircraft emergencies and abnormal situations in a controlled environment without placing an aircraft or crew at risk.

With detailed Argentine scenery, operator-specific systems and realistic aircraft handling, the new device demonstrates GeoSim’s ability to build mission-specific training solutions around the aircraft and operations of each customer.

Another GeoSim aerial firefighting simulator takes flight — this time in Argentina.
