Aerial firefighting places pilots, aircraft and crews into an environment where decisions must often be made quickly and close to the ground.

The CAZ 111 provides a controlled environment where crews can experience demanding scenarios, make decisions, practise procedures and repeat missions until the required skills become familiar.

From normal aircraft procedures through to engine failures during a firefighting mission, GeoSim can create scenarios that would be difficult—or simply too dangerous—to reproduce in the real aircraft.

Emergency Rehearsal

Replica Grumman S-2 Tracker Training Device

Developed by GeoSim Technologies, the Tracker is a dual-pilot training device modelled on the Grumman S-2 Tracker. The simulator provides a realistic platform for VFR, IFR, procedural, emergency and specialised aerial firefighting training.

The cockpit, pilot and co-pilot positions and instrument panel arrangement closely replicate the operational aircraft, providing crews with an effective environment in which to develop aircraft handling, procedures, crew coordination and mission skills.

Retardant-Drop Training

A successful aerial firefighting drop requires considerably more than simply flying over a fire.

Pilots must consider terrain, wind, aircraft performance, approach geometry, escape routes, other aircraft and the required placement of the retardant.
